This collage is part of a series called "Girls Game". That's why this vintage print has a wig made by me, emulating the old game of girls to cut and paste. It reminds me of childhood. Paper is a very important support in my work. I really like the role of amate from Mexico, made by the otomi Indians...

Throughout my work I have worked in parallel techniques inherent to the feminine condition such as embroidery, weaving and sewing, with the traditional techniques of art: painting, sculpture, collage and drawing. I support myself in the children's story, the universal mythology and in autobiographical references, trying not to represent but to extract its essence. The aesthetic exercises that each one of the pieces suppose, have allowed me the construction of a visual syntax that reveals to me the world of our own internal contradictions. In the collage series Games of Girls and Girls found, I took advantage of randomness or automatism in the creative act: cut, paste, hairdress, like who plays, without predetermined concepts or previous premises. It was an exercise with objects and materials treasured in the workshop and that one day they decided to settle into a work. I put the accent on the veil of the gaze, with which you hide and cease to exist playfully, as it is for a child, or afraid to see reality. Incorporating hair into the work is born from the intention to work the body as matter. In any case, my interest is focused on the game and the exquisite work of the female trade that has not been classified as "fine arts", even though they are beautiful. Today that gap is not disputed, because art has infused it with concept, taking it out of the decorative. And in the simultaneity of the opposites.
