LHW in situ
An integral passion & two poems I wrote, initially inspired this work. I also had a desire to highlight the thought that all power will have bias without a balanced evolution of trust & equality of education.

These elements, together with the knowledge that bondage, brainwashing & torture, both physical & mental, blatant & subtle, are more divisive than ever before, consolidated the piece.into action.

A line from one of the poems can be read either side of the figures head. The line reads....It's the ultimate double cross & perfect way to fix the light.

Each letter of every word, written either side of the head, is cut from a small Welsh Victorian Bible & thus fragments of Welsh text can be seen within each letter.

The jagged tin metal shapes with embossed flower patterns fixed to the board & surrounding the portrait are cut form a 1960's biscuit tin. The painting itself is oil on board & the frame is made from padded deep red velvet over wood.

I trust the work will engage on a number of levels,
