About The Artwork
Low Clearance challenges our memories of our childhood. It explores traumatic events which stick in our minds, like our teddy bear being lost in a carpark mall. How can we be sure what we remember is an accurate recollection of our past? Have we remembered the darkness or did we create it? The unreachable truth is whether the memory is real or imagined in the tangled web of our subconscious. This work is made of cut and torn paper magazines pasted on synthetic polymer paint on canvas.
