ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Micheal Jackson was an inspiration to all kids growing up in the 90's. His music and iconic dance styles were copied everywhere, especially the song "Thriller", This particular song was the inspiration behind this artwork. This collage was created using paper from various magazines hand-torn and stuck together piece by piece on canvas. This artwork was completed in a total of 14 days. With this artwork, I want a viewer to travel back in time and enjoy the nostalgia of the Legend - Micheal Jackson and the happiness that his music and dance brought to all.

Born in 1982, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, I am a largely self-taught artist. My decade-long research and practice with various mediums has allowed me to expand my horizons and tap into new areas of paintings. I love working with different art mediums including acrylics, collage and image transfers. I am deeply interested with the effects of colors, textures, pop art and mixed media art. Since 2019, I have collaborated with Bahrain Art Gallery, where I currently create and display my artwork. I am also a member of Contemporary Art Society since 2018. I have been featured in brochure sponsored by Royal Charity Organization and Family Bank for successful businesses in Bahrain. My artworks have been featured as cover photo of two renowned Bahraini magazines- Areej Magazine – April 2013 cover and Bahrain Confidential magazine – September 2018 cover.
