Ophelia, Bee & Quail Collage

This paper collage tells of a fantasy world of myth and nature, mysterious and a little strange. There is a sense of weightless and drifting. It depicts a moment in time from a well known story. Stories need to be worked a little. So too, these collage surfaces are rough and a bit worn for wear; from their history, from many tellings or recitations. My collage shapes are not perfect squares or rectangles but will fit well within a window of mat board. Surfaces are cohesively sealed with an acrylic medium, allowing brush strokes to give texture. They are delivered tacked to foam core board with acid-free rolled tape on the back side; then enveloped in protective archival polypropylene. Each is signed and dated on the front below the image
