I was born and currently live in Montevideo, Uruguay. I studied Communication at the UCUDAL University and later devoted myself to visual arts and interior design, studying with recognized art teachers. I have participated in numerous group exhibitions in Uruguay and I was also selected to exhibit at the Autumn Salon in the Marta Traba Gallery, Latin America Memorial, Sao Paulo. In 2015, I held my first solo exhibition in the prestigious Galería Ciudadela in Montevideo. Throughout the years I have been awarded several distinctions in different competitions, including first prize in the International Festival of Colonia, in 2018. In the jury was American artist Barbara Duval and, presiding, was respected local art critic Nelson di Maggio. Currently my works are exhibited in Los Caracoles Gallery, in José Ignacio, Uruguay. My work moves on different directions and themes, abstaract or figurative art, but always looking forward to express myself in a free way. I explore techniques as collage, oil and acrylic painting. This first series I am showing at Saatchi Art, called Paper Ships (Barcos de Papel), is a set of collages made with old papers and letters, plans, postage stamps, vintage photographs and other pieces of memorabilia that I treasure from my trips and my forays into flea -markets in different parts of the world. With immigration as leit-motiv, these boats approach a universal theme in a unique way and invite visitors to navigate the waters of memory.   Nací y vivo en Montevideo, Uruguay.
