ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Hand cut paper collage mounted on (damaged) cardboard. Snake lady & crocs explores our fascination with reptiles, both attracted and repulsed by them, they hold fear and some loathing for us. the idea that they have 'cold' blood particularly pushes our fear buttons, making them seem more alien than they are, since we are all descended from the same evolutionary tree. A super hero has been given snake companions which give her a feeling of power and mythological depth. This cardboard mount has become damaged so I am pricing this piece lower. I played around with this picture of crocs for a long while then turned it on it's side then added the snake lady, and it seemed to work. The damage can be cut or covered in any framing the buyer might want to do.
