About The Artwork

The triptych STUDIES OF THE HUMAN BODY is number 8 of a series of overpainted digital collage. It is inspired by Francis Bacon: His triptychs, his red-orange, his topic and the great show at Centre Pompidou in 2019. STUDIES OF THE HUMAN BODY part of the bigger THE PUPPENHAUS art project, a multidisciplinary story telling about the sense and nonsense of life. Get an overview here: https://www.stephanreichmann.com/The-truly-dolls-live/curatedcollection.html The title and size of the artwork is based on the same name painting by Francis Bacon and dedicated to the artist. Take the painting as a puzzle, as a "Suchbild". There are many reinterpreted appropriations e.g. from Rose Wylie, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Domínikos Theotokópoulos (El Greco) or even emojis in a fresh context. All 23 detail photos of the triptych you can find here: http://www.stephanreichmann.com/detail.html?lang=en_US&id=10824#detailphotos The artwork is ready to hang, no frame is necessary. The narrow side of the work is painted in the same colours that were used for the painting itself. An examble of the back view of the painting can be seen here when clicking on the detail photos: http://www.saatchiart.com/art/Painting-Regenbogen-Rainbow-RWV-415-06/731252/3075775/view The reason for not showing any signatures or other information is to avoid copies, imitations or counterfeiting.
