About The Artwork
This playful little assemblage is a diptych created out of many different types of materials: acrylic painted wood; rice paper; marker and watercolor on paper; silk hand-painted with silk dyes; synthetic fiber, and thread. Substrate is 2 cradled boards, side by side. I enjoyed intuitively combining the shapes, colors and patterns in this duo. A perfect size for apartments or an accent area.

I live and work in lovely Weehawken, NJ, a small town on the Hudson River. A lifelong artist, I studied at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia and Rome, Italy. Inspired by nature, landscapes and erosion, I love organic shapes. I work intuitively and experimentally, driven by composition, color, and texture. My experiences in textile design and printmaking inform my process, showing up in the pattern, layering and composition of the work.
