ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is a collage of a face: a woman's face with her eyes closed. The collage / painting consists of many layers and the surface is very textured. I used textured papers in different colours and even silver paper that gives a different shine effect depending on the viewer's position. The painting is vivid and expressive, I find that an interesting contrast to the closed eyes, suggesting an intense innerworld.

This mysterious aspect fascinates me. Afterwards I will tell my own story - in colours and lines - about these people using various visual tools." Showing the reality is not important, it's my personal impression and emotion that I wish to communicate. This is a very intuitive process during which my hand glides on paper or canvas. This way I am able to tell my own story in layers, colours and lines. Afterwards the art is not mine anymore and open to other people's eyes, making new stories as well. I'm always searching for new ways for my art (small to large sizes, different techniques) to travel and show themselves to public.
