I am an artist living in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. I have been making art for 30 plus years in relative obscurity with shows here and there. I mainly work with collectors who follow my work. I enjoy the personal relationship this allows. I travel throughout the year to photograph images that I will incorporate in my art. I use encaustic as a medium to work with collaged images of my photographs along with painting and drawing. My work is small and intimate. It evokes a private world that I share with the viewer. A place we can both discover as our memories reveal our paths and experiences no longer hidden or forgotten. I am inspired greatly by poetry of all kinds. Fernando Pessoa, Dogen, Eliot, Merwin, Cummings, Bishop, Yeats ....
