One of new vandalised masters series, a transcription of William ii and his new bride. I am very much inspired by street style from my travels (particularly Tokyo and Paris), which has been incorporated into the works through collaged graffiti and style, along with lipstick and oil paint. These works also question the issue of race, sexuality and social status in our ancestral hierarchies:we are but an accident of our birth. Works are framed upon sale, with bespoke handmade and premium quality frames with a reputable framer. An option is offered - either black, or white frames as follows: Sizes: 55 x 49 x 5cm (white). 43 x 37 x 5cm (black). Image size 27 x 21cm.

British painter + collage maker (PhD), and one of the few British artists to be selected for the Brooklyn Museum's artabase (New York). Gorrill's new work reappropriates and revives the art historical female form through paint; and imagery taken from popular culture, Instagram and adult magazines. The artist draws meaning from the barrage of images we are bombarded with in our daily existence, blending art history and the passage of time with the Urban and Contemporary Cool. Through activist painterly vandalism and re-drawing of the old masters, a series of new modern mistresses emerge.
