"I have always been fascinated by graphic design in all its forms as applied in our lives. Nowadays, much of graphic design is done on computers; therefore, I thought digital design could be a great opportunity to employ my artistic skills. I create my graphics in Photoshop, which I believe is one of the greatest software applications available. Currently, it offers so many functions and features that you might feel overwhelmed at times. In a world full of digital graphic images, it is challenging to be original all the time. In this respect, my daily struggle is that after creating an image, I often experience a sense of “déjà vu” regarding my work. It may be valid to feel this way because Photoshop and other image software programs have become so popular that anyone can use them, even occasionally. Sometimes, with minimal technical knowledge, you can create anything you can imagine. In my work, I am always looking for the spectacular – the “wow” factor. I do not aim to promote specific identity forms; rather, I want to showcase the real spectacle created by the interplay of colors, light, and dark when they are placed together in the same space. These three elements are the main actors in my artwork, capable of visually impacting the eyes of my spectators. I see myself as the manipulator of these graphic elements and the tools I use in the design process. In creating my graphics, I start with an idea and strive to turn it into art. Every day, I am surrounded by new colors and shapes, and I am eager to communicate in a different way with a fresh approach. Therefore, I cannot wait to challenge my imagination." "Mihaela Stancu's art is one of a kind. You can tell from the preparation of her work that she is not only disciplined in her art but focused. Colors and designs swirl around creating a mixture of solid material that one would think they could reach out and touch. Her other works will keep you transfixed, pulling you in more and more until your imagination is flooded with color and excitement."
