For a long while now I’ve looked after a free library housed in the old telephone box outside the studio… it’s heavily used, and supplies me with stacks of volumes dealing with all subjects and none. Here they are! An abstract testament to the reading habits of rural England and Wales.

Tony Roberts was born in Kent in 1946. His professional career as an artist started early, working with pen and brush as a young monk. Now, in retirement and long out of monastic life, his artistic practice has greatly expanded, including glass sculptures and canvas works in private and public collections worldwide, mostly to commission. Much of his current work involves multiple disciplines and media in each single work.
