In an era of relentless sensory overload, Tatyana Markovtsev delves into the enigmatic depths of the human mind, inviting the audience to embark on a captivating journey of self-discovery. Her art is a testament to the power of simplicity - a bold, minimalist approach that not only engages the viewer but also transforms them into an active participant in the creative process. Tatyana's simple elegant line art taps into the subconscious and resonates with the most profound human emotions. She harnesses the power of suggestion, encouraging the viewer's imagination to co-create and complete the narrative. By leaving elements of the image undefined, Tatyana invites the audience to actively engage with her creations, forging an intimate connection between the viewer and the artwork. She started with simple line drawings on cold press paper using India Ink. Today Tatyana's style has evolved to include mixed media, digital art and larger painting compositions using acrylic on canvas that utilize abstract colorful backgrounds and various lighting in combination with her signature lines that all complement and complete each other, causing the viewers to have a deeper engagement, while experiencing even fuller spectrum of feelings and emotions through Feel The Line works of art. Biography: Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Tatyana Mark (originally Markovtsev) immigrated to the U.S. with her family over 25 years ago, settling just north of Chicago. An engineer by trade, she has never imagined that one day her works would find universal appeal and touch the hearts of tens of thousands of people from over 150 countries, who visit her website, social media pages and go to see her works at the international art shows. Being a self-taught artist, she only discovered strong desire to draw and started her journey to mastery in her late 50s, completing over 500 works since. Tatyana masterfully uses India ink on cold press paper and acrylic paint on canvas, as well as mixed media, digital and vector art to make her creations.
