This series of images is a fascinating and intriguing work that uses the symbolism of the swamp and mutation to create a sense of mystery and tension. The swamp represents a place of passage and change where human bodies undergo a mysterious metamorphosis of their form, evoking liberation from social conventions and allowing individuals to embrace their wild and primal nature. The theme of transformation and evolution is the common thread that invites us to reflect on our fears, desires, and aspirations, as well as the possibility of overcoming our limitations and evolving as individuals. Thus, mutation represents a process of personal growth and spiritual and inner transformation, symbolized by the swamp water that represents the potential for growth and rebirth, but also for decay and death. The creatively composed images present a variety of interesting viewpoints and angles, making them visually stimulating. The use of light and shadow, as well as the precise details in the depiction of objects, create a feeling of realism and depth. The symbolism of the swamp, in which death and rebirth are natural processes occurring in nature, ties in perfectly with the theme of the series of images, suggesting a sense of danger and uncertainty, but also of rebirth and hope.

Marco Mattiuzzi's training began when he attended a creative photography course held by Fiorenzo Rosso and Serena Leale, who oriented him towards the "artistic" photo. With techniques such as solarization, toning, tinting and various manipulations, he obtains images between painting and photography. Later he deepens the language of images during annual courses of professional photography with Bruna Orlandi, Alessandra Attianese and Pier Angelo Cavanna. He has exhibited in art galleries in both solo and group exhibitions, ZOOM has published his portfolio and his work has been reviewed in newspapers and magazines. Fiorenzo Rosso wrote about him: "The reproduction of the negative is not the final stage of the process, but the beginning, or rather the continuation of a path that will end, for the author, only after a long work of manual intervention". He has collaborated with Photographie Magazine and Disegno e Pittura, as well as newspapers with critical reviews on painters and photographers. He deals with art and communication in many forms, from music to literature, from photography to virtual reality, with writings regularly published on online cultural portals and on major social networks. For some years now he has replaced the camera and darkroom with the computer, creating virtual sets in 3D from which he obtains images for further processing and manipulation.
