Mao Pop Art Warhol style - Detail "one yuan" banknote Original: giclee on canvas hand signed, numbered and dated - 24" x 24" with 2" extra border - rolled / shipped in tube. Prints - photo paper, fine art paper or canvas signed and dated. The yuan is the base unit of a number of former and present-day Chinese currencies, and usually refers to the primary unit of account of the renminbi, the currency of the People's Republic of China. It is also used as a synonym of that currency, especially in international contexts. The fifth series uses the portrait of Mao Zedong on all banknotes, in place of the various leaders and workers which had been featured previously. During this series new security features were added, the 2 yuan denomination was discontinued, and the color pattern for each note was changed Larger sizes and custom work available upon request.
