This digital print is inspired by the cutlery and steel industries of Sheffield, England. At one time famous all over the world, we are still renowned as makers. I am inspired by the processes of making steel. It is a dynamic process and much of the processes were developed in Sheffield such as crucible steel, EPNS and stainless steel. As a young woman I would go to Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet open days and watch the man pour molten metal from the crucible. That's what this abstract print is all about. I manipulated my own photos to produce this unique piece of art. All A3 prints are printed on a Canon printer, using archival inks and paper.

An artist who loves art in all its forms. Born to create, whether drawing, painting, textiles or photography and digital manipulation. I was born in Sheffield and although I have lived elsewhere, both in the UK and overseas, I have been back in my home city for several years now. I enjoy creating the unexpected and my digital work provides ample room for that. Colour, texture and pattern are all important to my work. Influences include architecture, pattern, gardens and nature.
