ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This art was conceived digitally. After choosing the color palette, I drew checkerboard shapes on a lighter background. Some of these shapes were painted red and mustard, to give a different touch in relation to the dark green of the others. Next, I applied a digital resource that projected a kind of white light from the checkered shapes towards the center of the drawing, giving a three-dimensional effect to the work. Particularly I was very satisfied with the final result of the work, especially by the harmony of colors.

Martiniano Ferraz is a Brazilian artist who lives in Recife, Pernambuco. It was during holiday trips, while still working as an architect, that he was charmed by photography. Nature, architecture and the urban are the themes he usually photographed. From 2020, while isolated in his home due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Martiniano Ferraz began to produce also geometric and abstract digital arts, where it is common to have vibrant colors and three-dimensional effects. One of its greatest sources of inspiration, in the use of color, is the art produced by the Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes.
