Sisters Artwork

My art style is a fusion of abstract expressionism, cubism and pop art. I work mostly with acrylic on canvas as traditional, and vector graphics in digital media. My work is at times both whimsical and intuitive, and boldly colourful using colour to convey moods and atmospheres. I love colour! I use textures and digital effects to represent perspective and depth, and also to show the overall mood of my work. With my art, I endeavour to show beauty and purpose in everyday life and situations, and most times, adding social commentary. As an example, I paint female nudes to portray double standards and discrimination of society towards women and people of colour. Besides painting, I am a published illustrator, and design and illustrate cover art and book content interiors. I also write and illustrate stories for children.
