The wild meadow by the river. The sweeping mixtures of grass meeting the reeds at the waters’ edge. Dark shades mix in with the multitude of greens. Waters Edge, Grasses Sweep, Wild Meadow. This piece belongs to a series that are based on the 16x9 proportion in landscape format. With this proportion the relationship between the length and height is not one half, so, in my construction of the geometry, I have added a single unit height rectangle at the bottom of each composition in an appropriate colour. This provides the ability to use vertical symmetry. The colour of this block is carefully chosen and effectively underlines the construction. Handle carefully without touching the image. Frame the print with 2mm Artglass AR70. Float the print so that all of the paper is visible but use a spacer to keep the print away from the glass.

My current work makes use of geometry to combine photographic images with colours and shapes. The work is created digitally and then printed on museum quality archival paper. The images are also displayed on my web site with words that reflect the nature of the combinations. The prints include a QR code that links back to the web based image with associated words - a digital caption, so to speak.
