About The Artwork

Signed piece of art by Kay Uwe Rott. This piece of art is offered for sale only 20 times. When all pictures are sold there will be no further edition. A short story about the picture: The working men in the picture had finished their shift for the day, and were now making their way home. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow over the streets and illuminating the tired but content faces of the men. They walked together in a loose group, their conversation a mixture of light-hearted banter and serious discussion. Some of them carried their work bags on their shoulders, while others had left them at the factory for the night. As they walked, they passed by other people on the street - shopkeepers closing up for the day, families out for a stroll, young couples arm in arm. But the working men were a different breed. They were the ones who had put in a hard day's work, who had sweat and toiled to earn their living. Despite their exhaustion, there was a sense of pride in their stride. They had done what they had set out to do, and they had done it well. They knew that they had contributed to society in a meaningful way, and that gave them a sense of satisfaction that was hard to come by. And as they settled in for the night, the working men in the picture knew that they would wake up the next day and do it all over again. They were the backbone of their industry, the ones who kept the wheels turning. And they were proud of it.
