Dear Theo, Down at the cafe no one speaks of anything but X. I was sitting at a table on the sidewalk sketching my boots, eavesdropping on a German couple and she was like, "XXX!!!" and he countered with,"But Fräulein what of X and it's implications to z'holiday in Schvitzerland? And she was all like, "Mein Liebchen were you not listening to a verd I vas saying? You never listen! I sink sometimes you are coming down with z'X " Theo they began bickering and X'ing so that I had to move inside and look for a quieter table but to no avail for as I settled in the manager switched on the radio and articles about X were read between commercials about X. Here I am trying to get a cognac and a decent drawing of my Doc Martens but cannot find peace from chinmusic about X! Has no one read a good book lately? Are there no more tunes to hum? Does no one want to simply sit quietly, sip coffee and text anymore?! Meanwhile the barista, who looked like she was dressed for beekeeping, could be heard frothing up the X instead of making lattes. I thought I might find some solace in the loo but instead on the stalls the graffiti was "X this" and "X that". On the mirror, in lipstick, someone had drawn a penis ejaculating little x's. WTF Bro? I'm trying to make art as an alternative to life's suffering over here not reinvent the asterix! I'm sorry for those vexed with X but is no one falling in love or celebrating their kids ba mitzvah? Oy gevalt! enough with the X already. Play the ukulele, make a salad, take a hike, look at the stars... I've gone on too long Theo. What has 2 thumbs and gotta paint like a saint? This guy!
