Fierce autodidact and Renaissance man. Robert Bentley was born in St John New Brunswick in 1975. He began studying the human form under the tutelage of his Artist father at the age of 5, and after finishing high school continued his explorations in Europe. During the 8 years he spent in London England, he studied briefly at Chelsea College of Art and Design before moving to Greece. He has exhibited his works in England, Greece and Canada; his most recent shows being "Human 3.0", as well as "Hooked" at the Moniker Gallery in Toronto. Robert explores the human figure using many different lenses as he derives his inspiration from theoretical physics, biology, psychology, mathematics and philosophy. Whether he is taking a line for a walk in an instant or continually revisiting a study in non-Euclidean geometry over several months, his work remains firmly grounded in the human condition.
