The book of Katell Pouliquen, that challenged me, a wonderful book that tells a celebration of black aesthetics, fashion, identity crossed between Harlem and Barbès, Afro style, slavery..... I represented the olimpic rings with five portraits. On their faces gravitate small characters, I put forward black stereotypes, and traditions.I hope catch the viewer's gaze, arrest the viewer's gaze about the african culture and slavery,. II like to draw with a ballpoint pen for its immediacy and color inks for its fluidity. The contrast between black and white and color is very impacting for me. This association makes me think of a comic strip

Mainly figurative at the start of her career, Myriam Andrew then experimented with abstraction. She then achieved a symbiosis between abstraction and figuration. Figuration takes over again, with singular shapes and colours. Her paintings and drawings question identity, society, the versatility of man, the place of women in society, slavery and anatomy. She is passionate about Michelangelo Buonarroti, Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo, Henri Matisse, Kehinde wiley, Chéri Samba and J.P Mika. Myriam Andrew's biros drawings depict little people, their humanity, their character, their attitude, their behaviour in society in the face of life's circumstances. Her work is richly coloured, using acrylics, oils, coloured inks, felt pens and collage.
