About The Artwork

This work opens my still active series of works about an endless summer. It is also the first to expressly include Amity's name as well as an enormous number of references to the 1975 film Jaws. An essential homage, the film being a trigger for the setting, light and colour, of this collection. All the references to the film set the action somewhere between 1975 and the present, showing possibly in the most endearing and irreverent way my alternative world of the retro-present, even though it is still shown in the purest possible way. The vehicles present are a '78 Porsche 928 and a Mitsubishi L300 from the late 1980s. This digital illustration has been made with custom brushes that allow me to soften the digital-analogue transition. The setup includes self-imposed limits, both in terms of resolution and number of layers; a series of strategies to preserve my analogue technique, without losing the openness of digital possibilities. This digital illustration was created as part of a limited series of five copies. The artwork is presented numbered and with a certificate of authenticity.
