I wanted to create an original style of illustrating zodiac signs. I hope that the viewer would like my work and interpretation of the Zodiac signs and see it as original but timeless. Love the use of ink on paper. I was inspired to see how I can create my own interpretation of horoscope signs.

Katrine H. Marrash is a British artist who resides between London, England and Paris, France. She has travelled extensively to many countries in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East. These travels and her inspiration from these different cultures and their history comprise one of the greatest influences on her works. She started to express a love of drawing and painting since she was a child. Her artworks encompass these influences into a unique mixture of intricate juxtaposition of detailed and abstract architectural paintings, incorporating fine linear drawing, and an array of vibrant colours, derived and interpreted from landscapes, and the terrain of the various countries the artist visits, primarily painting with gouache and china ink on paper, which result in exquisite, sensitive, enriching and emotive works, was recognized, and encouraged by established artists and critics to pursue her art. The artist's creative process started with linear and abstract paintings, which then metamorphosed into architectural artworks. Some of her artworks have been published for corporate greeting cards. American educated in London, Ms Marrash holds a B.A. degree in Fashion Merchandising and Business, and also studied drawing theory at Saint Martin’s School of Art in London. She had some of her artworks accepted at some prestigious art competitions at The Chelsea Art Society and The Green Stone Gallery, and has held several one-woman exhibitions as well as been invited to join in group exhibitions at Oxford Union Society at Oxford University, Gallery 202, Carlton House Terrace, Albrizzi Gallery, and Kufa Gallery, all held in London. Katrine has also been commissioned to create a superb sketch of an abstract representation of a “Linear Horse” to represent The GCC Polo Cup held at the Guards Polo Club – Smiths Lawn, Windsor Great Park, for the cover of their program brochure in benefit of The Prince of Wales’ “The Prince's Trust”. Katrine’s painting “Venetian Palazzo—Ochre” has been accepted and exhibited at The Chelsea Art Society’s art competition for the 74th Annual Summer Exhibition 2023. Katrine’s painting “Balconies, Palazzo Del Cammelo” has been accepted and exhibited at The Green and Stone Gallery in London for the Summer Art Competition Exhibition 2019.
