About The Artwork
This painting tells about the journey of the Pandavas to the top of the Himalayas which is said to be the way to heaven. Sahadewa, Nakula, Arjuna, Bima, Yudhisthira and Draupadi set out together with the black dog as a guide but they died on the way, only Yudhisthira lived. Arriving at the top Yudhisthira was picked up by Lord Indra and Bhatara Yama. This work was made using a mixture of ink and acrylic and then using canvas media measuring 100cm x 80cm.
