Ariadna Dane (b. 1984, Siberia) is a visual artist working across traditional and digital media. Primarily self-taught, she has developed her practice through further training in Contemporary Collage and Creative Development at Central Saint Martins (London). Ariadna’s work has gained international presence, exhibiting in the UK and beyond. Her distinctive pieces are held in private and corporate collections, including notable hospitality and media brands. Ariadna’s upbringing in Siberia and her travels fostered a deep connection to nature that continues to shape her practice. Inspired by the intricate forms and textures found in nature, Ariadna translates these often-overlooked details into evocative ecosystems of forms that interact, dissolve, and reassemble: reflecting nature’s cycles of creation and decay and blurring the line between the tangible and the abstract. The artist’s latest work marks a shift from observing nature to embodying it as a metaphor for the human experience. Using plants as a symbol, the series speaks to resilience and vulnerability: bending, breaking, healing, and growing — just as we do. Short poems accompany each work, acting as entryways into the emotional terrain of the image and offering a moment of reflection for the viewer. Ariadna’s practice spans traditional and contemporary techniques, combining her signature cutouts, hand-cut elements and digital layering to create artworks that invite contemplation of both the seen and unseen.
