I was so scared to feel that I lost a part of who I was. A friend suggested to me that I should consider painting again. I said "I wouldn't know where to start" but it was heard and a few months later I had a dream and this was it. This work is called "inner child" I focused on healing myself as a child to all the trauma I have experienced through life. From a little child, there were a lot that I felt needed to be examined, and realized, that I was only little when a lot happened. Throughout my life, I blamed myself, felt abandoned and not worthy as well as moments of I am stronger than this. 13 years ago I woke up and was paralyzed, dealing with a crazy autoimmune crash, watching my beautiful twins go through so much with 43 days of NICU. Then covid they had me in the ICU for 6 months last year and continuously crashing. Just as I was getting stronger I got covid twice in 12 weeks. This painting is my fight song. I have been through all the emotions in this painting. I am grateful.
