Blue Octopus Drawing

The pen is an ancient medium. Since the Middle Ages it attracted most of painters and drawingmen . It's a very difficult technique cause its intrinsic and structural difficulties. Mistake is vorbidden. I'm personally interessed in the graphic potential of the modern ballpens and in their use as occasional and spontaneous medium. The chromatic effects and the achieved results with a good ballpen are unique . I normally prefer big size drawing on used paper. In this portrait I utilized a comon blue "Bic" ballpen for the body and a blue "Bic gel" (big and medium size) for the background and shadows. The "octopus" is in watercolour painted.
