He is timeless, he is a symbol of how the martial art can be used to achieve personal growth and self-realization. Bruce Lee was an actor, sportsman, martial artist, created his own Kung Fu, Wushu style: Jeet Kune Do. Here are some movie stars in Hollywood that Bruce Lee taught in his martial art: James Coburn, Steve McQueen, Roman Polanski, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Garner. James Coburn was one of the best prominent students of Bruce Lee. Coburn also appreciated the philosophy of Kung Fu. Steve McQueen was also one of the best prominent students. His focus was more on the fighting part of Kung Fu. James Coburn and Steve McQueen were also pallbearers at Bruce Lee's funeral. Bruce Lee was also a philosopher and practiced meditation. What many may not know before he entered the Kung Fu world, he was also a professional dancer. This also explains why his movements were as smooth as a cat. I myself practice Kung Fu and meditation all my life. From my experience, it is a constant lifelong growth process.
