Art Description

Drawing: Oil, Ink on Paper.

The cumbersome "Byzantine-Latino Quarter" is a designation assigned in 1997 by the city of Los Angeles to a stretch of Pico Boulevard which was historically nicknamed Greek Town -- but in which few if any Greeks live today. I've been exploring Los Angeles neighborhood by neighborhood for about a decade, making maps as part of the process.
