Manuel Santiago is a Spanish painter and draftsman whose works have been exhibited in the United States, Australia and Europe. He believes that creativity must look inward and that 'the ultimate reality is the spiritual'. Santiago's main artistic aim and approach is to fully express himself without any exterior influences. His abstract and abstract expressionist compositions are mainly created using oils, charcoal and mixed media. Manuel Santiago was born in Malaga, Spain. He has crossed the globe many times and as a traveling artist he has absorbed all patterns of life and cultures in the true sense. This has influenced his work so that we see flashes of different cultural aspects threaded through his canvases. Several works by the artist have been sold at some of the most prestigious Contemporary Art International Auctions, including 'Subdural' sold at Bonhams Los Angeles 'Modern, Contemporary and Latin American Art' in 2008. Oher major Auctions include New York, Los Angeles. Sydney and San Francisco.
