About The Artwork
This work is more of a symbolism that attempted to convey the battle of the human being: soul, mind, faculties, against the erroneous,, deceitful and corrupt falsehood, which has domain in the world. It was also a reflection on some traditional viewpoints, preaching that card playing, whether for profit or not, is "sinful". The viewer of the artwork is awkwardly placed in the position of his rival and so seeks the human conscience. The question was left open: Who is there, to trust?
