"Corps Caverneux" Drawing

My work questions the notion of faults. That which I call fault but is in fact disorder, imperfection. Its physical impact magnified. The drawings emerged, little less than a year ago, from my work with paint. A desire to deepen my carefully about using this technique was born during this period. I address issues such as individuality, modification, distortion, mutation. How the psyche, subjected to trauma, to the « implosion », can alter or distort a person or a body ? How the « invisible », « quiet » side of things or individuals affect their bodies suddenly or gradually : the dysfunction. That which overflows, (no longer) contains itself, is under pressure and is on the borderline. What which we believe to control. I see my work as a deMONSTRration of what is out of the norm, out of the ordinary. Not to disturb ut to question the boundary between perfection and imperfection.I draw my inspiration mainly from an iconography which is most of the timemedical or scientific (clinical cases of mutation, deformation, mutilation …). All text and pictures that interest me are from artists with surrealist influence, American crime novels as well as mythology, legends and stories. I live and work in Paris.
