My name is Antonietta Positano, I’m a 28-year-old illustrator with over 13 years of experience in freehand architectural and urban illustration. I live in San Marzano sul Sarno, a small town just minutes away from the Amalfi Coast. Growing up in such a small place initially made me think my ambitions were limited. But over time, I discovered a profound connection with Art and Architecture that shaped how I view the world. This realization became my greatest privilege: I see the world with different eyes, noticing details that others might overlook. Drawing Architectures has been an obsession that I cannot fully explain, but it feels like a calling—my "vocation." My first attempts at architectural illustration were far from perfect, yet I persisted because I knew it was my path. Every line I draw reflects not just buildings but my inner world, as my Art and I shape each other in a continuous dialogue. Through drawing, I find balance, peace, and authenticity. For me, Art is not just about creating something visually beautiful. It’s a way of understanding myself and the world. Each illustration is a balance of precision and emotion, where the interplay of light, shadow, and texture mirrors the complexities of the human spirit. Drawing teaches me patience and dedication, reminding me that the process is as valuable as the result. My approach is entirely freehand, blending the discipline of architecture with the freedom of artistic expression. I aim to make the intangible visible, turning each line into a story. Whether I’m sketching in a quiet moment or working on a large-scale piece, I’m constantly reminded that creativity is the core of who I am. Art gives me purpose, allowing me to say: "I exist not just because of my struggles or doubts. I exist because I create. This is the meaning of my life. Forever.
