Jeannine Davidoff (Viljoen) is an ambidextrous artist, author and educator. Jeannine grew up in Johannesburg and has moved around South Africa living in 5 of the 9 provinces. Her careers include fine art, graphic design and illustration, freelance journalism and writing, teaching yoga, permaculture farming and facilitation. Jeannine has authored 8 books and has another approximately 40 in the pipeline. Her genres include fine art books, poetry, photography, children's, environmental education and recipe books. Her books are available in hard copy from Amazon and PDFs are available on Blurb. Jeannine works with mixed media, collage, pen, pencil, pencil crayon, watercolor and enjoys using recycled materials. Jeannine's themes are nature based, realism, fantasy, and mandalas with bouts of cartooning. Intuitive drawing and mandalas are a big part of Jeannine's daily routines. She enjoys plein air and urban sketching. Jeannine is developing her skills as an ambidextrous artist. Initials experiments with her non-dominant hand starting in the late 2000s and now she has a large body of ambidextrous works. The work featured in this profile picture was created partially during a live art stream on twitch.tv. It is a pencil crayon fantasy drawing called Fairy Ring and the original artwork is currently for sale at The Hive in Johannesburg. A huge body of Jeannine Davidoff's artworks were stolen in 2014 which plunged her into a huge depression. In 2016 she gave her remaining painting to a charity and they have never been seen again. Jeannine stopped creating art in 2016 and only resumed in 2024.
