Hyper realistic drawing of a pug. This is one of the most detailed works I have ever done. It was bit challenging . But happy to see the result. I have used charcoal pencils and graphite pencils to do this.

Hariprasad Sukumaran is a hyper-realistic artist and art coach. He is known as the best hyper-realistic artist in India, famous for his incredible talent in creating lifelike drawings and paintings, particularly portraits. He is the founder of Hariarts Academy and has taught over 10,000 students across more than 10 countries. His vision is to help beginner artists pursue their passion by providing coaching, consultation, and guidance. Hariprasad has been featured in many prominent media outlets and channels, including Mathrubhumi, Indian Express, Daily Hunt, and more. His recognition extends beyond the art community, showcasing his impact and influence in the broader cultural landscape. Born in 1993 in the small town of Nilambur, Kerala, Hariprasad began his artistic journey at the age of 5. Although he initially worked as an assistant professor in Genetics and Plant Breeding, his deep passion for art eventually led him to leave academia and fully immerse himself in the world of hyperrealism. Unlike many artists who focus on photorealism—merely replicating photographs—Hariprasad delves deeper into hyperrealism, aiming to create art that surpasses the visual impact of a photograph. He believes that truly lifelike drawings require a profound understanding of light and shadow, as well as mastery of fundamentals like anatomy and proportions. This philosophy enables him and his students to create original, realistic works rather than simply copying images. Hariprasad's work, including well-known pieces like "Emotional Pug," "The Gleeful Grin," and "Beauty," has earned him numerous national and international awards. His preferred mediums are charcoal and oil, and his teaching approach has led to a high success rate among his students, many of whom have gone on to achieve remarkable success as artists. In addition to his artistic accomplishments, Hariprasad serves as the Indian brand ambassador for international art brands like Rensans and Colorsplash. His journey is a testament to the power of following one's passion and helping others do the same.
