Juan Fuster/JohnFJunior is a visual artist with a long art career who, after experimenting in multiple facets of contemporary art, returns to drawing and figuration under the name of JohnFJunior. His work captures a personal universe that questions reality and the visible world through apparently narrative fictions that drink from the cinema of the 30s, 40s and 50s with an added punk and post punk seasoning, comic book culture and strong doses of mysterious and romanticism, creating inspiring and flammable images. Black and white is the color and generally on paper supports as an activist and conceptual act of reducing the materiality of the work to the subtleties provided by paper. JohnFJunior proposes a new romanticism to fire the spectators souls. JohnFJunior proposes a new romanticism to fire the spectators souls. The drawings go beyond the paper, they are the trace of a complex magical universe where the whole space becomes a cathartic metaphor, an astral flight through a world where everything is possible, mysterious and surprising, full of cultural references to cinema and literature, but so personal that it absorbs the viewer, inviting him to enter the stage, inviting him to participate, to take a step and cross the line between physical and ethereal reality. This tantalizing sensation sweeps through you with the magical energy of the strange landscapes depicted. In Johnfjunior's world the doubt of the physicality of things is vindictive of a system that only acts on rational planes to the extreme, forgetting that consciousness can travel in a less linear and more creative direction.
