”Growing up in an artist's studio” Lisa Törner lives and works in Stockholm and she practically grew up in an artist's studio. It is her father, the potter and illustrator Bernt Törner who inspired and encouraged her to paint already as a child. Lisa has developed her own mix technique consisting of black ink and paint. She sketches directly on newspaper and with the help of her unique technique they develop into artwork. ”I select topics from different newspapers and create unique artworks that are linked to the topic” says Lisa Törner. She also paints larger oil and acrylic paintings. It's when she travels that she gets the inspiration. Lisa is fascinated by animals, especially those who are not always considered beautiful, such as the ostrich.
