ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This drawing was created with layers of pastels and oil sticks. It's about men today with heavy hands and little brains. My husband thought the 2 circles were balls- they're not - I was working from a linear wire sculpture I had done some time ago , the circles make up the butt. I call the piece "Empowerment" because of Congress' heavy handed power over women's concerns. They are not only not considering their constituants... they are not interested in how their decisions will affect their sisters, wives, children and grandchildren.
