Original Drawing: 16" x 12" (UV Sprayed) Watercolor, Ink, Pencil, Graphite on Paper. It is currently matted but not framed under glass This drawing was made near the years end of 2018 when I had realized just how entangled peoples lives can become under the happiness or distress of love. My boyfriend had scoliosis so badly, it progressed in the years were together, he was crumbling before my own eyes. It's was beyond painful to watch someone you love be in pain and not be able to help. What made it more strange is that he had taken care of me for three years while my hips were being replaced at age 36. Between the two of us we were kind of a medical nightmare. Doing the best I could I pushed and shoved him into any doctors office who would see him, Currently he is healing in Northern California but now dealing with a very large brain tumour in his frontal cranium that has severely changed his brain chemistry & hormones. Currently I am well & working on being the best damn figure artist I can be. In part I believe I do this so I can say to him & his family, Thank you for taking care of me when I needed it most. My subject has always been love, romance and sometimes the things that go bump in the night .... but this one here is about holding onto someone so tight to point where you don't know where one of you ends or the other begins. We were beyond entangled in each others lives for better or worse. The outcome is still so unclear, the extent of our injuries are beyond comprehension. So I held on so tight because I still remember the boy I feel in love with by Lake in Oakland CA and it was a very real magical moment. The style is all my own, I don't get to pick my style. It comes from above or below and is given to me. it's a gift I do not take for granted. I am trying to soften my touch these days because in singing terms I've some vibrato in me that can shatter glass if I'm nit careful. However it's also my secret weapon, Why did I make this? Perhaps someone will relate to how difficult love can be under distress and the hardships that are beyond your control, it's what you signed up for. Remember by god you still have one another. Be kind and never forget why you love someone, even when the days, weeks and months may very well seem to be out to destroy you. Remember why you fell in love.

Rene Carol Capone (b. September 22, 1978) is an American figure painter known for his depiction of the figure with whimsical and mysterious imagery often used together. Capone began his career as an artist creating dreamlike, sensual, often homoerotic images of young men in search of love, identity, and their place in the world. That was twenty years ago, His paintings and drawings are now highly prized by art collectors in the LGBT community and hang on the walls of private and corporate collectors around the world. Capone's style defies catagoration as he blends an evocative mixture of eroticism, child like discovery, innocence, and an undefinable danger. Often creating characters rooted in myth that have to find themselves in the modern world. Born in Niskayuna. A small town in upstate New York. He is the oldest of four children. His relationship to the famed mobster Al Capone remains a well kept mystery. His birth certificate legally says, Capone. Private collectors of Capone's work can be found in the United States of America, Canada, Sweden, England, France, Sapin, Japan, and the Netherlands. Glaxo Smith Kline became his first corporate collector. He took a four-year absence from creating fine art to dig deep into the topic of child abuse in a graphic novel titled "The Legend of Hedgehog Boy."
