Feels Like Winter Drawing

Designed, sketched and burned onto 6mm birch ply with subtle, soft white shading, for the ‘feeling’ of light snow. Featuring a traditional scene of a quaint, English country village street, at the onset of winter. Including a Post Office pillar box, country inn, a mixture of architecture and a village church, with a mountain backdrop. I have designed, hand-drawn and burned this image into a top quality birch wood ply and have finished with a very subtle tinge of white for a cool, wintery look. There are many levels of burn-details to discover, from small animals to snowy footprints; chimney smoke, old slate paving, stone walls and winter plants. I hope to emit a feeling of sunset at the onset of winter Birch ply is the professional choice for detailed pyrography landscapes. It sands down to a beautiful finish with a soft grain, enabling many depths of burn for realistic, warm texture. These depths can be felt, seen and if pressed close to the face, very faintly smelled - making this a multi-sensory art form. Many of my art pieces are set against a mountain backdrop as the mountain 'call' is strong and, for me, they evoke a sense of liberation, mystery, longing and immortality; which can equally compliment or contrast what appears in the forefront beautifully. Item dimensions: Height: 29.5 Centimetres; Width: 42 Centimetres and a 12mm depth (including hanging brackets.) Actual art wood depth is 6mm. The art is mounted onto two birch brackets and there is a sawtooth metal picture hanger attached - ready for hanging.
