About The Artwork

A pencil and charcoal sketch. The idea is simple, two hands giving something to one another. Most known is the story of Eve giving Adam the forbidden fruit, but it can have a completely different meaning for you and that's okay too. I want you to enjoy it in your own way. This style I've been developing is created with a mixture of "modern contemporary" and "cubist" with a touch of "realism" then drawn down to a minimalist perspective.

I have loved art since I was a small child. A simple piece of paper and pencil was all that was needed to open an amazing world of imagination. When a work is going well, it flows like water. It’s exciting when the artist inside takes over, everything seems almost effortless. There’s something special about seeing a thought in your head transform into a piece of art before your eyes. I want to touch the world with my work. Not a soft nudge on the door of emotions, but rather to kick the door down. To have it reach out and grab you, leaving you breathless. The style used is mainly abstract expressionism and cubism with impressionist brush strokes. Taking the fractured pieces and moments in life and bringing them together to form the whole. The major influences on my art is, Passion, Love, Sensuality, and Life. What point is there to life if we don't experience it? The feeling of Passion found in the excitement and expressions of those who embrace the journey of life, both great and small, happy and sad, no matter how profound or insignificant it may seem to others. To know how deeply Love touches the heart. The embrace of ones lover, and the ecstasy of intimacy. And most important, Life, so precious and fleeting, is but a moment then gone. To feel life coursing thru your veins, to cherish and taste it, to know the merriment and pain, the good and bad, and holding on to the blessings and dreams while learning from mistakes. This is living life. This is the world through my eyes. Represented in Boston By Suzanne Schultz and Canvas Fine Arts.
