I'm trying to inspire the viewer to acknowledge that everything can be within anything, you just have to open your eyes and your mind to the idea. This portrait represents a shaman deep in his Native American ritual trance, the Ghost Dance. The shaman is the forest/nature and thus his face is made up of the landscape that represents his people. Look closely you will find a buffalo, on his shoulder with a herd of buffalo stampeding down his neck. From his opposite shoulder there is a river that runs down to his chest off a cliff into a waterfall. The river runs around his neck and up his chin into a lake below his bottom lip. His bottom lip is the shoreline with his top lip represents the mountain range with a tree line in between the lips. Down his nose slithers a snake, with a scorpion sitting above his eye, while the iris of his eye is actually a human skull. His other eye is also the eye of a giant bird sitting on a tree branch. The tree branch runs along the side of his nose with a lizard scampering across it. In his ear lies a human fetus as well as a blossoming peyote cactus. There is a frog around his third eye, cave painting scattered across his face and south western style patterns run across his brain, while colorful fractals explode from his conciseness. The Native American shaman is in his "Ghost Dance."

I am a 28 year old artist currently residing in Boulder, Colorado. I'm originally from Melbourne Beach, Florida but have lived here in the Boulder area for the past 10 years. I love all types of hands on art! I am classically trained and originally started as a black and grey pencil portrait artist. In the past few years, I have started working with color and absolutely love it. I've also screen printed (t-shirts and posters), tattooed and have even built an acoustic guitar and banjo from scratch. Currently, my main art form is colored pencil, hyper/photo realistic portraits (people and animals). Recently, I have discovered oil painting and this is truly where my future lies, I already love it! I have been combining my realism with psychedelic imagery by making photo realistic portraits out of other images/objects, similar to Octavio Ocampo. Therefore, every piece of art has a sort of changeability depending on how you look at it (the art may look like one thing or another but its actually both or any image you wish to see). I'm trying to inspire the viewer to acknowledge that everything can be within anything, you just have to open your eyes and your mind to the idea. I love art and will continue to do it every day until the day I die. I am fully addicted and gratefully deadicated!
