Art as a medium to penetrate the inner self beyond square logic and fragile feelings, to the true animal-like function of the soul. Art is the process unveiling the multiple layers of rules, regrets and desires of civilization to hide the infinite being, the animal inside us all. There is an ancient myth where Lycaon a king, invited Zeus for dinner and served him human flesh to prove that he tricked a god and therefore there are no gods. But Zeus found out the trap and turned Lycaon and his sons to wolves. I consider this myth as one of the first testaments of the restless human nature and the intrinsic conflicts between the need to control and concur and instinct that uncovers the fragility of thoughts and reason…the need to stay connected with nature as it is where the only time is now. Wolves are also depicted to numerous civilizations both as sacred and diabolic creatures and I was also fascinated by the impact of these artworks myths, even fairy tales. gods broken tooth is the title of the specific artworks because I believe that the story of Lycaon was among the first punches to reason and stereotypes to god itself and a cry a howl to free will, to freedom. Wolves are depicted in my drawings as carriers of messages from our soul but also as imprisoned suffocated feelings. The depictions of wolves, in my paintings and drawings, are a medium to penetrate the inner self beyond square logic and fragile feelings, to the true animal-like function of the soul. They narrate the process of unveiling the multiple layers of rules, regrets and desires of civilization that hide the infinite being, the animal inside us all.

I consider art as a malfunction of the brain, a moment where you are aware, disoriented from your feelings space and time...everything looks the other way, doing what was supposed to and you stand there all alone, far away...away from your self customed cage. Art happens when you gaze at the view out of your thoughts and feelings that the bars of the cage blur and gradually melt under the blinding light of freedom.
