SUMI-E is the Japanese word for Black Ink Painting. East Asian Painting and writing developed together in ancient China using the same materials —brush and ink on paper. Emphasis is placed on the beauty of each individual stroke of the brush. This is a Limited Edition print series of only 10, signed,titled and numbered in traditional pencil. It will be shipped with a certificate of authenticity. It is printed on acid-free fine art paper, 11" by 19".

I have always made my way creating things; print design, illustration, set design and animation. After 15 years as a broadcast designer I founded an animation studio in 1987 which won many worldwide awards in all categories. At the 26 year mark the recession hit hard and the studio did not survive. In 2011 I began painting every day and my fine artist career started. I currently work in oils, acrylics, Sumi-E and digital design.
