"He wears a tie, but no watch" Drawing

Memory does not consist of static moments frozen in the past, but rather floating images, we are constantly editing, changing and distorting. Memories of my childhood have become fragments and now I only see glimpses of a past, which has been partially reconstructed by my parents and photographs. My past rematerializes itself in dreamy drawings, paintings, poetry, letters and reflections. Each, like a diary entry – incomplete, momentary, personal and reflective. They suggest that any truth about memory and the past cannot be determined through an exercise of reason and logic, but only through intuition and perception. My work is a collection of these ever-changing fragments.
