Christina has grown up in the world of Art & Interior Design, first approached to exhibit at just 15 years of age, and winning her first Art Prize at only 16, Christina M. Di Bona is one of the Industry's brightest emerging stars. Raised around her Great-Grandfather producing oil paintings, and her father as an Interior Designer, it's little wonder that at just 16 while still at High School, she spent a short time at The National Art School, holding her own against established students, under the guidance of renowned Australian Artist David Fairbairn.It was her artwork within this experience, along with guidance from her dedicated Art teachers, that enabled Christina to be placed in the top percentile of her year for HSC Visual Arts, gaining a spot on the 2008 HSC Distinguished Acheivers List, for not just one, but three subjects. At just 18, her work was selected for exhibition at Port Macquarie Regional Glasshouse Gallery, and she consequently started fulfilling demand for her artworks overseas, specialising in Abstract and Contemporary Portraiture pieces in both Oil and Acrylic mediums. Currently studying at UNSW COFA , Christina is becoming renowned for her astounding talent in capturing her subject's innate likeness and personal essence within her portraits, as well as being able to create exciting and dynamic abstraction pieces for Interior spaces. From exhbiting nationwide and her pieces being requested for collection in places such as Spain, The United Kingdom and the United States, it's no wonder that at just 21 years old, Christina M. Di Bona is a breath of fresh air and becoming one of the Art Industry's most recognisable young stars.
